Kia's new 2023 Sportage SUV comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers an EPA-estimated 31 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city. The engine connects to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its standard equipment includes a front-wheel drivetrain, but an optional all-wheel drivetrain is available. Kia has also announced that the Sportage will be available with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers an EPA-estimated 28 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg in the city. Its engine will connect to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the model will come standard with all-wheel drive.

Design and Exterior

The 2023 Kia Sportage will have a completely refreshed exterior look. The front end will feature a new grille and headlights, while the rear will boast a redesigned bumper and taillights. The vehicle will also be available in new colors, including Snow White Pearl, Dark Moss Green, and Nocturnal Black. All trims have a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that can earn up to 181 horsepower. Drivers will choose between a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available on all trims except for the base LX model.
